Spam clean up and future plans

Post by appleton »

It's been a long time.
I will update the community on my personal status in a separate topic.

For now, this is just a message to inform all that improvements are going to be made. Introduced gradually.

Plans are as follows:

1.) Removal of spam and introduce anti-spam measures on registration
2.) Introduce a balanced moderating team from all walks of life (I will take more of a technical administrator role). Power will be more democratized rather than centralized. So, all members feel included, and the board is run by its members. Bans will only be used when there is an overwhelming consensus in very extreme cases
3.) General tidying up and a graphical refresh.

More will be added here.
Meanwhile feel free to get stuck into some debate or stuck into me. Ask questions in this topic ;)
