Russian dossier on Donald Trump

Post by appleton »

The latest saga in the Donald Trump/Russia spy scandal. Russia is now alleged to have compromising intelligence on Trump. ... a-contacts ... 20916.html

Anyone have willing to guess who is pulling Trump's strings now?

Seriously though this is a major issue. It's worth reporting that the recent material was published on Buzzfeed and is quoted on the Guardian as being 'Unverified and potentially unverifiable'.

For Trump, He thinks this is a continuing political witch-hunt against him.

Again from the Guardian, the report alleges: “FSB has compromised Trump through his activities in Moscow sufficiently to be able to blackmail him.” The president-elect has not responded to the allegations.

My view is that president-elect Trump already compromises America's economic, social and military security. If the report becomes verifiable. Then, the threat will be very real indeed. Russia has vastly increased its power to influence European (since Brexit and Crimea) and American (since Donald Trumps victory) politics. The worry is what does it seek to do with this power? As Europe and America are natural enemies, we can assume they would seek to degrade politics in both regions.
"Practical men who believe themselves to be quite exempt from any intellectual influence, are usually the slaves of some defunct economist. Madmen in authority, who hear voices in the air, are distilling their frenzy from some academic scribbler of a few years back" - John Maynard Keynes
